POWER OVER ETHERNET | IEEE 802.3at | PoE | INDUSTRIE 4.0

INDUSTRIAL POWER OVER ETHERNET SWITCHES

POE SWITCHES: EFFICIENT SUPPLY OF POWER AND DATA OVER ONE CABLE

Intelligent production processes increasingly require the exchange of information with their environment. Communicating assembly robots, self-driving forklifts and fully automated storage systems require extensive sensors. A reliable supply of energy and data is essential for new installations and retrofits. Industrial Ethernet switches, which form the backbone for data communication in modern systems, are increasingly becoming the focal point. But switches are not only suitable for the transmission of data, but also for the power supply of the end devices via Power over Ethernet (PoE). The transmission of data and the simultaneous supply of energy via the Ethernet cable offers many advantages. With the use of networking camera systems and various sensors that support the PoE standard, space and costs for additional cabling and power supply units can be saved. The decentralization optimizes and reduces the required cable lengths, thus reducing the installation effort. Thanks to the shorter cables, line losses can be reduced and the overall efficiency of the application increased.

With Power over Ethernet, the transmission of data and the supply is carried out via the Ethernet cable. This saves space and costs for additional cabling and power supply units.

SPARK-XS41Q - Unmanaged PoE Industrial Ethernet Switch IP65/67

Cabinet-free networking directly in the field: Power and Data over one cable

The SPARK-XS41Q M12 Industrial PoE Ethernet Switch is perfectly suited for use in harsh industrial environments outside the control cabinet and for networks in passenger trains, buses, commercial vehicles and agricultural machinery. With a supply voltage of 24 VDC, the switch supplies connected end devices on the four D-coded M12 ports with data and power in accordance with the IEEE 802.3at (Type 1) standard with a total power budget of 40 watts. With the X-coded M12 uplink port, sufficient reserves are available for data transmission thanks to the high bandwidth. The switch complies with EN50155, is approved by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (E-Mark - E1 / R10).

  • 24 VDC Power Supply
  • 40-Watt total Power-Budget
  • 4x D-coded PoE Ports
  • 1x X-coded Gigabit Uplink Port
  • temperature range -40 bis +70°C
  • ruggedized IP65/67 metal housing
